Trifft Ihre Mitarbeiter-App noch die Ansprüche an HR, Sicherheit & Kommunikation?
#ISO27001 #NEWFEATURES
What must a modern employee app be able to do today?
ISO 27001, AI Search, and a completely new chat feature – an overview of the new CORE features
How secure is my data? Can my team find the right information?
And how can I truly reach everyone – from the office to the production floor?
Gurten, October 20, 2026 – CORE smartwork has made significant strides in recent months: more security, more AI, more connectivity.
From ISO 27001 certification to AI-powered search and a brand-new chat feature with a built-in AI assistant—here are the most important new features for companies looking to take their internal communication and HR processes to the next level.
Verified Security: CORE smartwork is ISO 27001-certified
The more processes are handled digitally, the more important the question becomes: How secure is my data? That is why CORE smartwork has obtained ISO 27001 certification – the internationally recognized standard for information security management.
The certification applies not only to a single product but to the entire organization: from software development and operations to internal processes. An independent audit confirms that CORE smartwork systematically manages risks and protects data according to clearly defined rules.
For companies that already use CORE or are considering implementing it, this means that information security is not just a promise, but a verified standard.

"Our clients entrust us with sensitive data about their workforce. We don’t just want to earn that trust—we want to demonstrate it. ISO 27001 certification is exactly that proof."
Tech News: An Overview of the Key Features
CORE smartwork is constantly evolving, and many of the new enhancements are directly inspired by customer feedback. They all have one thing in common: they solve problems that almost every company faces with internal communication and HR.
→ CHAT:
Say goodbye to WhatsApp, email chains and lost information
The new CORE Chat replaces the usual mix of personal messaging apps and emails with a single, secure channel within the company platform:
- One-on-One and group chats,
- file attachments,
- reactions and
- GIFs
- Secure chats for confidential topics that can be initiated directly from HR processes, such as regarding an ongoing job application.
An integrated AI assistant helps draft messages, answers questions like “Where can I find information about onboarding?”, and thus lightens the load on HR and internal communications.
→ AI-SEARCH:
Find information instead of searching for ages
The global search now optionally displays an AI-generated summary with the most important result directly above the results list. Instead of opening ten posts one by one, a single glance is all it takes.
Partial terms and different spellings – such as “0043” vs. “+43” for phone numbers – are also recognized. This saves time every day, especially with multiple locations and hundreds of internal documents.
→ DIGITAL EMPLOYEE CARD:
One ID, one access pass, all benefits – in one app
The new digital employee card in the CORE app replaces the physical ID card: photo, dynamic QR code, and RFID chip for building access, identification, and benefits—all through the app that employees use every day anyway.
→ NEWSFEED, SIMPLE POLLS & SENSITIVE DATA:
Always know what's going on – securely and quickly
- The new newsfeed collects content from all modules chronologically on a single page—similar to how it works in social media apps.
- Simple polls provide quick snapshots of sentiment, for example, directly in chats or information posts.
- And for security-sensitive content, you can specify that photos and file attachments are visible only on the company network – they remain invisible outside of it.

"AI isn't an end in itself. It was important to us that it be used where it truly makes day-to-day work easier—in searches, in chat, and in drafting. Not as a gimmick, but as a real time-saver."
