Freash momentum for the CORE tech team


Marie-Luise Prey has been responsible for technical management at CORE smartwork since November 2024. With over ten years of experience at the company, Malu knows CORE inside out. Thanks to her in-depth training as a product owner and her empathetic and solution-oriented way of working, she is the ideal candidate for this key position.

With her extensive specialist knowledge and outstanding leadership skills, Malu will successfully lead the technology team into the future. The entire team wishes her every success in this exciting new challenge.

Malu is also passionate about team cohesion at CORE smartwork outside of her new position. Since summer 2023, she has been moderating the joint retro, which has now become an integral part of our corporate culture.

Focus on team exchange


Every second Thursday, the entire CORE team comes together - including those who otherwise work exclusively from home. The highlight of this day is the joint retro, which is particularly valuable because it allows for a direct exchange with colleagues with whom we are otherwise only in contact digitally. We share our current mood, professional challenges and successes - and, if you like, personal insights too.

In summer 2023, Malu took over moderation from Managing Director Patrick Strauß: “With her training as a Scrum Master and her empathetic personality, it quickly became clear to me that Malu was the perfect fit for the role.”

Our retro strengthens the exchange and cooperation, it creates understanding and shows that the team supports each other when necessary - whether professionally or privately.

What did I always want to be as a child? Pediatric nurse or midwife

What do I particularly like about my job? The variety and the opportunity to actively help shape our employee app. But above all, I appreciate our great team, the strong team spirit and the shared passion for our product.

What does leadership mean to me? A balanced give and take, mutual appreciation, trust and COMMUNICATION.

The personal USP of my team members? Their expertise, their inner calm in stressful times and the great team spirit

A team experience that I will never forget? I don't have a specific example, but I love our regular team activities outside the office, where you get to know each other from a completely different angle. 

How do I relax after work? In the fresh air with our two small children and in the evening with a good book by the tiled stove.
