HR Software Award for knowledge management from CORE
The name says it all: the CORE genius module from CORE smartwork won the HR software comparison for its ingenious solutions in the field of knowledge management.
CORE genius prevailed over more than 300 software applications analyzed throughout the DACH region. With the continuous integration of AI-supported functions, CORE smartwork is also focusing on future-oriented development.
Gurten, January 28, 2026 – "Winning the HR Software Award confirms the high relevance of structured, digital knowledge management in companies of all sizes and across a wide range of industries,” says Patrick Strauß, Managing Director of CORE smartwork, delighted. As part of the CORE smartwork social intranet, CORE genius makes knowledge management for teams easy, transparent, and sustainable. Strauß explains: “Far too often, valuable knowledge is lost quietly and silently – in mailboxes, notes, or when employees change jobs. With CORE genius, we turn it into a shared treasure trove of knowledge: centrally documented and accessible at any time.” Users appreciate this.
The HR software comparison platform surveyed HR experts on various criteria such as user-friendliness, usability, and price-performance ratio of the HR applications they use. The winners were then determined based on these evaluations. CORE genius prevailed over more than 300 software applications throughout the DACH region.
What makes CORE genius a winner in practice
Numerous companies rely on CORE smartwork's social intranet and the CORE genius module in their everyday work. One of them is Amari Austria GmbH, which has more than 200 employees. Alexander Piesch, Quality Manager and CORE genius Manager at Amari, reports on the advantages: “Before CORE genius was introduced, knowledge at Amari was spread across many personal files. Since using the module, all employees have centralised, uniform access to relevant knowledge. The platform promotes knowledge transfer between experienced employees and new colleagues. CORE genius provides lasting support for daily operational work.”
The mechanical engineering company Fill from Upper Austria also relies on CORE genius.
“Knowledge management plays a major role, especially in a rapidly growing company. Once a company reaches a certain size, it simply becomes impossible to communicate with everyone personally,” explains Melanie Brunner, Fill Human Resources Development and CORE Admin for Fill (right in the picture).
With CORE's knowledge management, expertise becomes accessible to everyone – quickly, up-to-date, and tailored to their needs. CORE genius is one of a total of 19 modules and part of the comprehensive range of functions offered by the all-in-one CORE solution for communication, organization, and HR.
Implementation of AI assistants is in an intensive phase
CORE smartwork is characterized by its refusal to rest on its laurels and successes. The team is continuously working on new applications and user-friendly solutions. The company is currently working intensively on the implementation of artificial intelligence and is already in the final phase of implementation. In the future, CORE customers will be able to integrate an AI model of their choice into CORE. A central element of the AI strategy is the new CORE Chat, which has been implemented as a separate module and enables the use of AI-supported assistants within the social intranet. Among other things, these assistants help with searching for information and editorial tasks.
“Our goal is to use artificial intelligence where it actually makes everyday work easier – securely, contextually, and seamlessly integrated into CORE,” says Marie-Luise Prey, Product Owner at CORE smartwork.
